I recently had some minor plastic surgery for lesions on my face, the treatment afterwards by a top plastic surgeon was the application of Vaseline 4 times a day for 2 weeks. They have healed very well.
The problem is that petroleum jelly is a petroleum product which is a carcinogen. So is baby oil/mineral oil. Check label ingredients of lotions and other products for petroleum ingredients, these are carcinogens that means they cause cancer.
“Petroleum jelly can’t be metabolized by the skin and just sits as a barrier until it wears off. This means that the body isn’t able to gain any benefit from petroleum jelly (like it can from nutrient rich substances like shea butter or cocoa butter), and there is concern that some of the components (like hydrocarbons) may be stored in fat tissue within the body.” There seems to be a contradiction in this paragraph: it either can’t be metabolized and just sits as a barrier, or some components may be stored in fat tissue, but both cannot be true. Is there a link to the studies?
The only moisturizer my mom has ever used for her face is Vaseline and her skin is probably in the best condition I've seen anyone's at her age. No wrinkles. She is 60 and no one believes it. No surgeries, just Vaseline. I use it too and it is the only thing that moisturizes my dry skin enough.
Let me guess, the second word is petroleum. Okay that was easy. No need to visit another site that wants to sell me something. I thought this was "food matters". I let the essential oil article go last time, including the "this is who we recommend". But this is now twice. In my opinion stick to your title and mission or you will have more unfollowers as me.
Hate the stuff, but use it to clear u scaly mite on my chooks legs - seals and suffocates those critters and works like a charm lol.
