I think the most wonderful thing is that the woman on the book cover is not the same skin tone as the bride, but that made no difference to the little girl. All she saw was a beautiful woman in a white dress and thought she was a princess. I hope that stays with her.
That 'children's book' she has in her hands is "The woman in white" by Wilkie Collins. One site describes the book as this: "The Woman in White famously opens with Walter Hartright's eerie encounter on a moonlit London road. Engaged as a drawing master to the beautiful Laura Fairlie, Walter becomes embroiled in the sinister intrigues of Sir Percival Glyde and his 'charming' friend Count Fosco, who has a taste for white mice, vanilla bonbons, and poison. Pursuing questions of identity and insanity along the paths and corridors of English country houses and the madhouse, The Woman in White is the first and most influential of the Victorian genre that combined Gothic horror with psychological realism.". This sounds like an amazing book but I don't believe that little girl is reading it. Perhaps her mother is reading it and she sees the cover every day and thought the lady on the cover was a princess and the bride she saw was the same lady.
Every bride is a princess in a little girl's eyes. Happened in my wedding. The flower girl (the daughter of my former boss and coworker) looked at me in awe in every photoshoot because she thought I was a princess. She was a sweetheart in the photoshoot and the whole wedding and behaved extremely well.
Really sweet of this bride to play along her fantasy. And I hope they shared their contact info for the pictures.
My niece was about 3 when she saw me dressed in a blue dress for prom and told my sister she thought I was Cinderella. You absolutely play along when they say that. 😄
I was 18 and started working as a waitress at a Pizza Hut/wing street, I was having a rough day and one of my customers said ''My daughter (probably 3) has something to ask you''... I looked at her and she asked ''Are you a real princess? Because you are so pretty, like a real princess''... so sweet. That seriously turned my day around. Thank you little girl at the Pizza Hut for asking me that. ❤️
Michelle 😭💜 I know you love babies as much as me!Babies, nice people and a beautiful bride?! If there was a puppy or a kitten....I'd die.
That's so sweet and beautiful! She didn't have to do any of that it was her special day she could've said go away but she was kind and loving enough to let this little girl dream.
This is adorable and no doubt she thought she was a princess. But the book is THE WOMAN IN WHITE by Wilkie Collins. This fantastic Victorian "sensation" novel the furthest thing from a princess story and it's doubtful a toddler either read or heard it.
A little girl who saw my hair thought I was a mermaid so I told her I was a mermaid who fell in love and gave up my legs for a human but got to keep my hair❤️her eyes were huge.
So many negative nellies here. Who care what the book actually is, who cares if a toddler can read such material. Take this for what it is, cute. Nothing nice to say, stay quiet. Thumper taught us all that as children. Or is bambi not suitable for kids these days?
